The Increasing Rise of Entrepreneurs!

There is a new type of entrepreneur emerging from the trenches of the global economy.  These entrepreneurs are not the typical opportunistic entrepreneurs but are know as the “Necessity Entrepreneurs” because their options have driven them to this state.  These are not the type that are taking a leap from a “secure” job, these are the ones who have no job to leave, were laid-off, or hours were cut leaving them without enough funds to maintain their essential living expenses.

With this combined increase of entrepreneurs, there are also many business development and support services on the rise.  One that’s been around for a while is SCORE. I had actually tested out their online counseling service the other day and it is pretty helpful.  I did not get the exact answer I was looking for but there was enough to point me in the right direction.  You can ask as many counselors the same question if you want but I asked about 5 of them.  They have an average response time of about 24 hours though some of them will respond a lot longer than that.  Overall, it is a great resource for any entrepreneur.  They are also willing to meet with you one-on-one locally where ever you are here in the U.S.

Doing what you are good at is not nearly as important as doing something you are passionate about when it comes to creating a long lasting business that will naturally serve your customer / client properly.  Many entrepreneurs, tend to go through many business ideas until they realize that it was just a good idea and not something they would be willing to do for the rest of their life or until they retire.  Wouldn’t it make sense to get a head start (market-share-wise) in what you will more than likely end up doing rather than wasting time on every good-looking idea you come up with.  I will leave you with a golden nugget.

If you are any type of entrepreneur right now, I don’t care what great idea you have for a business.  If it is not something you love to do naturally, run from it quickly and don’t look back.  Start shifting your plans if you are already neck-deep into it.  The sooner you get to your true love, the better your life will be and the more continuous your innovation, strengths and profits can be.  Don’t let money be the first motive that drives your business idea – that’s typically a dead end destination.

Have you experienced this situation?  I’d love to hear your feedback!
